Decision Support Systems (DSS) and the use of big data for the benefit of the farmers

Lately, there has been a wide discussion on the huge volume of information (big data) resulting from modern technologies and their possible utilization for the benefit of producers and agriculture.
The Agricultural University of Athens, with the Assistant Professor of Agronomy & Weed Science Dr. Ilias Travlos and his team, participate in the major Research Program Horizon 2020 entitled: "Stepping-up IPM decision support for crop protection (IPM Decisions)", with 11 European countries and 26 partners. The European project "IPM Decisions" with a duration of 5 years aims at the expanded use and application of Decision Support Systems (DSS) in the context of the integrated management of weeds, pests and crop diseases (IPM).
