Herbicide resistance screening and management

Due to the overreliance on and the extended use of herbicides, many weed biotypes have already developed resistance to several active ingredients. WEST seed collection includes confirmed resistant biotypes of many weeds of agronomic importance, both grass (Lolium, Avena, Alopecurus, Phalaris, Bromus, Echinochloa etc.) and broadleaf (Conyza, Amaranthus, Papaver, Sinapis, Gallium, Sonchum, Raphanus, Sisymbrium etc.). WEST surveys and dose-response experiments are systematically conducted every year and recommendations are given on their dispersal prevention, efficient control and long-term management.
