Novel and innovative approaches, new crops, weeds and compounds

Our studies include cereals, legumes, forages, industrial and energy crops, and several underutilized, minor or new crops. In parallel, by means of our survey, we keep an eye on new, alien and invasive weed species, their biology, ecology and management. WEST works on novel and innovative approaches like sensor-based methods (quick tests) for the in-season rapid evaluation of herbicide efficacy under real field conditions, hot foam, pelargonic acid, bioherbicides, natural substances and biostimulants etc
